Shane Claiborne writes, "Maybe we are a little crazy. After all, we believe in things we don't see. The Scriptures say that faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see' (Heb. 11:1) We believe poverty can end even though it is all around us. We believe in peace even though we hear only rumors of wars. And since we are people of expectation, we are so convinced that another world is coming that we start living as if it were already here."
We want to see kid's lives impacted positively. We want to see them fed and able to get water. We want to see kids that are walking down the street and not able to be in school, to know they matter and someone cares about them, and get them in Calvary Hope School!
We know we will see it because I am seeing it in Kenya. Because you pray and support in love, we saw more classrooms filled with students. We saw a new kitchen with cooks filling student's plates with nourishing food. And, we saw students and Teacher's eyes filled with amazement as they experienced their new Library.
This is because you care. Because you are allowing the Lord to lead you and care for those in the margins. Loving those who need to know they are important and worthy of love.
We are living this life together, in all different places and spaces. Thank you for believing that you can make a difference. Thank you for proving it to be true. I see it!
To God be the glory!
