You know what one of the most common regrets are when people are coming to the end of their lives?
“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
Little Esther, shown smiling in the picture, is young and full of possibility. She is growing up in a place of constant struggle and the fight for survival. Life could easily be overwhelming! The odds are against her to be able to live true to herself and not get pushed down and silenced.
Our ministry has a vision to honor God by honoring and lifting up others. In fact, "REAL" in Kenya REAL stands for ....Reach---You're doing this when you reach across oceans and borders to pray for and support the growth of our school. ....Empower---You are empowering these children and moms to reach their potential, learn their gifts, be who God created them to be when you pray for and sponsor to make sure they are able to attend school. ....Act----Your actions speak loudly and are being the "voice" for kids and moms that may not have the opportunity to speak up on their own. We are all made in the image of the Creator and how are these children to know that if someone doesn't tell them? Your actions of prayer, raising awareness, and financial support are the "action" to build a better school, to support the Teachers, and to give hope to moms in the way of job training. ....Love----"Do all things with love." I Cor. 16:14. Love is the new commandment that Jesus gave. It's a verb. In I Peter 4:8 Peter says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." When you are loving these children that you may never meet in person, you are loving Jesus. You are living true to yourself as a child of God. Your love shows His love! Live life to honor the person God created you to be.
